PRIMARY FUNCTION:
As a Social Worker, you will oversee the mental, emotional, and basic needs of club members and their families while managing the administration of the Supporting Mental Health and Resiliency in Texas Innovation Grants (S.M.A.R.T). You will provide training and support to site-level staff and assistant directors to ensure the effective implementation of mental health and family services. Additionally, you will monitor the compliance and financial reporting associated with the grant, ensuring that resources are allocated to support the well-being of club members and their families.
KEY ROLES (Essential Job Responsibilities):
• Provide training to site-level staff and assistant directors to recognize and address the mental, emotional, and basic needs of club members and families.
• Oversee the implementation of mental health programs and services, ensuring they align with grant requirements and support the overall well-being of members.
• Conduct regular site visits to provide technical assistance and coaching to staff, ensuring effective delivery of social and emotional support services.
• Work closely with grant administrators and financial teams to ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance with grant requirements.
• Collaborate with club members, families, and community partners to connect individuals with external support services and wraparound resources.
• Assist staff in identifying and recruiting members who qualify for grant-supported mental health and resiliency programs.
• Monitor annual funding allocations and ensure that grant funds are used to provide maximum support for club members' mental health and emotional needs.
• Support site-level staff in the preparation of program reports and evaluations, with a focus on the social and emotional impact of grant programming.
• Provide administrative support, including overseeing grant billings, timecard management, and expenditure tracking.
• Maintain strong communication with club members, families, and staff to address mental health needs, schedule counseling appointments, and connect families with community resources.
• Serve as a key liaison between the organization and community partners, participating in initiatives like the Centex Community Resource Coalition to support club families.
• Prepare and present written and statistical reports that highlight the impact of mental health programs on youth and families.
SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED:
• Bachelor's Degree in Social Work or a related field preferred. Licensed Social Worker (LMSW) preferred.
• Strong organizational and leadership skills with experience supervising staff and managing dynamic environments.
• Proven experience in providing mental health support and services to youth and families.
• Knowledge of grant management and fiscal reporting, including budgeting, billing, and compliance.
• Ability to remain calm, positive, and solutions-focused in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work with a diverse group of individuals.
